Hi, I’m Janko
I believe good work comes from curious minds and steady hands. This isn’t another portfolio page. It’s a small window into what drives me. I enjoy playing board games and going to pub quizzes. They keep me sharp, competitive, and endlessly curious. Those hobbies also sparked some of my best business ideas. Seriously. Using ChatGPT to prepare for trivia nights opened up a whole new dimension for me: a mix of research, pattern recognition, and creative problem-solving that I now apply to my work every day.
I like learning for the sake of learning, connecting dots between random facts, and seeing how they can become something useful, structured, and real.

Getting recognized
As a “Serbian Upwork guru,” I helped hundreds of aspiring freelancers land work online. Several people even recognized me on the street and approached me. As a token of gratitude, they would buy me a drink, and we would chat for a while.

While I was working as a sports journalist, I once spotted Cristiano Ronaldo’s new haircut and immediately wrote a news article about it. The article brought the site 100,000 page views in 10 minutes. I learned a lot about targeting the right audience that day.
From startup to enterprise
Several times, I’ve been part of businesses that grew from startups into enterprises. Starting something new and helping it reach heights that once seemed unthinkable is a special feeling. I’m very proud of what we accomplished together.
