Hi, I’m Janko
I believe good work comes from curious minds and steady hands. So this isn’t a portfolio, it’s a small window into what drives mine. I enjoy playing board games and going to pub quizzes — they keep me sharp, competitive, and endlessly curious. Those hobbies also sparked some of my best business ideas. Seriously. Using ChatGPT to prep for trivia nights opened a whole new dimension for me, a mix of research, pattern recognition, and creative problem-solving I now apply daily in my work. I like learning for the sake of learning, connecting dots between random facts, and seeing how they can become something useful, structured, and real.

I have no problem with a concept of continuous learning. Training my brain helps both in my business endeavours and hobbies.

Despite enjoying geeky stuff more than going out and partying, I am an extrovert. I love meeting new people and working with them.

Getting recognized
As a “Serbian Upwork guru” I helped hundreds of aspiring freelancers to land a gig online. Several people recognized me and approached me on the street, and as a token of gratitude they often bought me a drink and we chatted for a while.

While I was working as a sports journalist, I once saw Cristiano Ronaldo’s new haircut and instantly made a news article about it. My speed got the site 100k views in 10 minutes. I learned a lot about targeting the right audience that day.
From startup to enterprise
I was a part of businesses transforming from startup to enterprise several times. Starting something new and building it up to previously unthinkable heights is a special feeling. I am very proud of accomplishments we got together.
